Designing a Vibrant Life

In order to create a realistic story, we need to not only think about what happens in the plot, but create a world in which that plot can unfold. We also need to ground our character in a life that feels believable. What is their neighborhood like? What foods does their family eat, or not eat? What kinds of people do they interact with? What do they believe in, and what do they fight against? In this session, we explored various aspects of a vibrant life that will help you know your character and their world on a deeper level, so that you can bring that vibrant texture and reality to each scene you write.
