Well, hello there, and welcome!
We're excited that you're joining us for Inklings Lab: Design a Novel. In this quick introductory video, you'll meet me (that's me, Naomi, your mentor for this course) and hear the run-down about how the course will work.
📓 Step Two: Gather Your Supplies
For this course, you'll need:
- Inklings Lab: Design a Novel Workbook
- Pencil
- Scratch Paper
- A journal or computer (or other tool you prefer for loose drafting)
- Index Cards
- Post-its
- (optional) Art Supplies such as colored pencils, markers, collage materials, etc.

You can either load the workbook into favorite handwriting app on a tablet computer, or print the workbook and fill pages out by hand. If neither option is open to you, you can always reference the PDF pages and write your notes and answers in a journal.
📋 Step Three: Plan Your Approach
First, learn about your creativity style:

Then, think about how you might make the most of your style:
Download the Making the Most of Your Creativity Style cheat sheet, and make note of any strategies that you think will work well for you. Remember, lots of creative people tap into multiple creative styles now and then. Your creative style isn't a box, it's a starting place to help you consider what will work best for you!
